The Short Version

I’m an AI strategist and product leader at Cisco, a US patent holder, the author of Welcome to Tomorrow, and the founder of Cocovox — an AI learning platform built from the ground up around accessibility.

The Long Version

It Started with a Network Cable

In 2002, I graduated from Cisco Networking Academy. Four semesters of half-days, bussing to a different town 30 minutes away. I loved every minute spent learning. That early exposure to technology — hands-on, practical, no shortcuts — shaped everything that came after.

The New York Years

After studying marketing at SUNY Oswego, I landed in New York’s ad tech scene during the industry’s most transformative era. From Burst Media (one of the original ad networks) to appsnack (mobile-first rich media) to Adcade (HTML5 animation platform), I spent nearly a decade at the intersection of technology and creative storytelling.

At Adcade, I led the “Tiger Team” — owning the vision and execution of new ad unit templates on their SaaS platform. I wrote for AdExchanger, authored specification documents, and guided agile development. The through-line was always the same: take complex technology and make it understandable, usable, and impactful.

Coming Full Circle at Cisco

Three years after my Networking Academy days, I joined Cisco as a contractor. Then came full-time. Today, I lead AI Strategy and Experience for SMB Support — designing and prototyping AI-powered features that simplify IT management for Cisco’s 400K+ small and mid-size business customers.

My work bridges the gap between what SMB customers actually need and Cisco’s broader enterprise AI investments. The techniques from my patent are being applied to real products that help real people manage their networks more effectively.

Why I Built Cocovox

A friend of mine tutors high schoolers. About two years ago, one of her students couldn’t read. At all. Not “struggling.” Not “behind grade level.” An 11th grader who was completely illiterate, being pushed through a system that couldn’t meet all students where they are.

I’m a dad with a kid who’ll be in that system soon. Those stats hit different when they’re personal.

So I spent two years of nights and weekends building Cocovox — AI tutoring that actually adapts to you. Accessibility isn’t an upsell. It’s the default.

What Drives Me

I believe technology should meet people where they are — not where we assume they are. Whether that’s simplifying Cisco’s enterprise tools for a small business owner or building a communication app for someone who can’t speak, the work is the same: listen carefully, build thoughtfully, never charge extra for accessibility.

Beyond Work

I wrote Welcome to Tomorrow — a beginner’s guide to technology for people who feel left behind by it. I’ve been a community manager, a content strategist, a team lead, and through it all, a builder. I’m a dad living in San Anselmo, California.

I’m always interested in connecting with people working on education, accessibility, AI products, and tools that make a real difference. Let’s work together.
